MSU Extension Tollgate Farm and Education Center

 This garden, located outside the lower MSU Tollgate staff offices, features paver walkways and a patio with a bench providing a pleasant view of the Tollgate pond. The walkways are lined with annuals and the garden features an island bed of perennials designed to be viewed from the Conference Center above as well as from the ground. A variety of perennials and shrubs are used in this planting with lavender a showy specimen throughout.  The leaves of the variegated iris provide color and upright interest throughout the spring and summer with tall sedum and large grasses for fall and winter interest.
